About

Research Opportunities, PhD Training and Student Projects

We involve students, PhD researchers and early-career scientists in substantive interdisciplinary research.

Core Capabilities

Student Research Projects

Students undertake practical course and thesis projects in analytical chemistry, bioinformatics and data analysis. Working in small groups under scientific supervision, they gain experience in virtual screening, molecular docking, pharmacophore modelling, machine learning and tools such as AutoDock, Vina, KNIME and R. We support publication of results and preparation of competitive research projects, and may also offer opportunities for paid part-time work with an industry partner.

PhD Programme

PhD training covers protein kinase inhibitor discovery, pharmaceutical chemistry of natural products, computational modelling and machine learning. Researchers receive individual projects, access to laboratory and high-performance computing facilities, and dedicated mentoring. The programme includes publications, conferences, grant proposals and research placements, preparing graduates for academic or industry careers; paid work with an industry partner may also be available.

Let’s Collaborate

We welcome collaboration on interdisciplinary biomedical research.

We are open to collaboration in joint research and applied projects, spanning computational modeling, analytical studies, and hypothesis testing to the publication of findings, joint grant applications, and product development.
