ABOUT News and Events XXI IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry

XXI IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry

The researchers of Department of Medicinal Chemistry participated in the XXI IUPAC Symposium on Photochemistry that was held on 2-7 April 2006 in Kyoto, Japan. This Symposium is one of the biggest worldwide meetings in this scientific direction; more than 500 oral and poster reports were presented there. Our researchers represented Ukraine at this Symposium; their reports concerned such actual problems as the development of fluorescent probes for nonspecific staining of proteins; mechanism of cyanines binding to DNA; development of two-photon excited fluorescent probes; and fluorescent J-aggregates.
